Chain drive reverse

When did honda start putting reverse on thier 200's? The earliest I can find is 1984, when they were shaft drives. Were there any chain drive 200's with reverse?

To the best of my knowledge they never did have reverse on the 200's. The first was the 85 250`s. The 84 200's had duel range transmissions.

the 1984 Big Red 200ES had Reverse - I thought that the 1983 Chain Drive 200 Big Red had reverse, but am not 100% certain - Any other Honda 200 never came with reverse - this includes:

ATC200S
ATC200M
ATC200X

The 1983 Big Red had hi/low range but no reverse.
The only Hondas w/ reverse were the 84-87 Big Reds, 85-87 SX's & the 85?-87 125M's.

The 83 bigred did not have reverse but the was a kit you could buy to add reverse but you lose low range

oop`s my mistake. Yes the 84 Red had shaft drive, dual range and reverse.
