I've been kicking around the idea of adding some inverted front forks to my 250R this winter, and while I was at it, I thought a new billet hub would be a good addition. One that would accept a more common Quad front rim.
Then I was thinking, It would be just as easy to add a second front brake if I make a new hub. Kind of like the bigger street bikes.
Think this is over-kill? Ever seen a trike do a stoppie?

Probably no need, but it would look real cool ;)

Derrick you don't need two brakes on the front. I recently got EBC pads for the front on my 250r and I bled them to the point where the brake lever is extremely tight. And yes I took it out on the pavement and I was able to do a stoppies and ride it out for a couple of seconds too. When I get to it I will post pics.

seems like extra weight to me. maybe a larger rotor and somekind of exotic caliper would be cool

I'm running the cannondale quad master cylinder and KTM520 front caliper on my Z and it REALLY clamps. I wouldn't grab more then 1/4 of it at one time on the pavement if someone paid me to do it!
