With our new camp came two excellent condition Big Reds. An 82, and an 86. They have been sitting for quite some time, so we replaced the weather checked tires, and want to take care of the carbs now. When looking for the carb kit for the big red 200, I couldn't find one specific for it, just for the general 200. Anyone know if they are the same? I thank you much.

I just noticed on the spec page, they both say 22 mm Keihn, but are they the same carb?

No, the difference is the bigred has a cable choke and the regualr has flip choke. If you use the bigred carb on a 200 then you have to hold the choke lever up in order for it to work. if you use the 200 carb on the bigred, when you pull the choke handle, it will pull the lever up and not let it back down, you would have to do it manually. There's a spring on the side of it that makes it do that, i think you can mess with that and make it work.

But would the carb rebuild kits be the same or not then?
