I have an 85 R for sale, long story short an Attorney from Wisconsin calls me about the 85 for sale and wants to know if it completely stock? He starts quizing me on what has or hasn't been done to the ATC. Then he says he is representing his client "Honda" in a lawsuit over an 85 250r ATC. He says he is going to check with the engineer @ Honda and get back to me. Looks like E-Bay is good for more than what we throw at it. You could definitely tell he was an attorney due to the fact that he kept referring to it as an "ATV"

Dammit!

Are you sure he's representing Honda and not the retard that's suing them?

Pretty sure if Honda was sued in that state they would have to have an attorney from the same state to represent them. Oh and he said for me to take the R to any Honda Dealer and they would pick it up there for shipping.

Law school? You mean there is one? I got my diploma on the Internet on Ebay. They said it was valid in all 51 states and any that may be added in the near future. Including Alaska and Hawaii.

I actually had email contact with a person that I was initially reluctant to give information because I was afraid they were working for the "otherside" but they had a case where someone crashed a 185 into a house trailer and it caught on fire burning them. The "victims" alledged that the gas tank was defective causing it to spurt gasoline all over them and the hot engine after the accident. I told the guy to check with ebay and a few other people I knew of that had a bunch of parts.

Dammit!

Imagine that. Crashing a 20 year old motor vehicle into a freakin' house trailer might cause something bad to happen.

I would like to know why and how the crash happen in the first place no doubt it was all Honda's fault:idea:

I told the guy that the owner probably had a combination of a modified (Not in a good way) ignition system that had bare and open wires and also was more then likely using a normal clear hose to go from the tank to the carb instead of one made for fuel. I exhanged emails with him for a couple weeks, seemed like a nice enough guy.

Dammit!

A rusty tank that was either already leaking or about to start leaking would be another likely possibility. Damn Honda.

was it safety engineering? if so I refered one of them to the site. they hit the dealership I work at for machines to use in testing to defend the manufactors.

I hate to say it here but many friend I have had made good money borrowing machines to them for investigations (cuase I know they surf the site:naughty: )
. They pay premo money to prove the manufactore created a safe machine, and to the best of my knowledge they always restore the machine back to oem conditon after the investigation (they have direct factory backing............they are saving honda, yamaha, zuki's.... azzzzzzzz).

I have talked with them before about getting pics to post here from their attic on some of the trikes they have, it is just a matter of time availibity. As a matter of fact they are waiting for a suzuki quad crate to ship an old zuk trike back to Japan for suzuki's museum.................in other words these are good people that are still fighting the good fight and are willing to prove that our machines (the 3 wheeling enthusiast) are a safe respectfull group.

From what I currently know thew are looking for an "85" r and an "85" 200 atc.

THESE TRUELLY ARE THE GOOD GUY'S, IF YOU ARE ABLE TO ABLE TO HELP THEM THEY WILL MAKE SURE YOU ARE COMPENSATED.

Ok, but what happened to the atc? :wondering Was it badly burned? What kind of an idiot crashes an atc or whatever into something else and blames the ride? In that case the atc should have been on top if it was in control. Maybe I should switch professions to 'Make a wish Inc.' no relation to Make a wish foundation. I wish idiots would stop clogging up the courts with their own stupidity. I bet he had been drinking :beer before the so called 'accident'.
