Jet it with the BR8 or 9ES....PENDING on Jetting on what plug to use ...the 8 is HOTTER !!! do not EVER use a "7" !!!! TOO HOT !!!
after jetting ....... Then use the "BR8EG or the BR9EG" !!!

ngk b8es series
or the b8ev
i have found the 8es to be better than all the other plugs i have used
nippondenso to-irridium
jet it right -golden brown is what you want the plug too look like
not black-oil
white -too lean
wet -too much fuel

I wouldn't pay the extra $; it's not necessary.

I run B8ES in everything I own too. Hard to find the R resistor types around here.

the "BR8EG" plugs are nice, if it runs real hot for some reason while youre riding or you run alcohol and accidentally jet it lean it is cheap insurance....they have a very fine center electrode and it will melt and your motor will barely run if it gets too hot, cheaper to replace a 5$ plug than a 150$ topend....

Yep. They seem to give more power, response and crispness.

they say to try and jet it to a cold plug like the BR9ES...Much BETTER !!!
the reason "Honda" Say's to do that is because the "R" work's REAL GOOD with there Stator and Brain Box Eletrical System.... i run the "R" Plug in ALL of the Rag's i build ....GREAT Plug's ....Can't Beat Em !!

the difference between "R" plugs and non"R" plugs is the resistor in the ceramic between the electrode and the plug boot connection to the plug. if you dont run a "R" you are screwing up the whole brain and everything. it will ru on them, but nowhere near the performance.

i am runnung a BR9ES now and it sputters at the top RPM's, so should I go to the BR8ES? Thats what was in it but it fouled out. What is the stock jetting for a 85 R also, may need to make a smaller jet.
