Resurrect the ATCR? **Pic Added**

Well a couple people lately have been asking what happened to the ATCR I had.If you saw it before you would know it was a running mock up of a 1984 200X frame and a 1995 CR250R PV motor.I have really been thinking alot lately about resurrecting it...What do you guys think? :naughty: I forgot to add right now everything I own is in parts so its a prime time to decide!Heres a pic I still have of when it was mocked up and yes I drove it like that a couple times. :lol:

yeah, i would ressurect it and make the frame even more sturdier, or sell me the motor and electronics for really cheap! :beer: Its all good either way!

Haha I will keep you in mind if it comes down to that.But really up until today it was all planned out to go back into the CR but I dont know...I loved that redneck trike.I wish I knew how fast it went like a number though.

Resurect it man, the one off's are sweeeet!!! And CR's are everywhere so they arent really that special. If you really want to know you can buy a radar gun at Radio shack for less than a hundred bucks. Either way you should bring back the beast!!!!

swich back to the cr frame and use the swing arm and tree if you can
be a lot better that way
after fitting everything blast the frame and paint it right
it will be really nice
or pickup a 250r rollin chassy

I think a 200x chassis is a horrible choice for a water cooled, high performance motor. Good luck with it if you decide to use it though.

Well I thought the same thing at first but it is going to be strengthened alot if I do go through with it. Either way it will run again. If by chance I can get the X engine off the guy that has it i will probally just search for a ATC 250r someday. Thanks everyone so far!

Oh and also the problem with using the 250 frame is since it has the older style tank, the rad scoops would hit the triples if they were wide enough for a trike.

use a 250r frame,and make the cr motor fit.i already did it once,and it's not to difficult.make some custom motor mounts,make sure the chain is aligned.thats your best bet

So the whole engine will fit a 250r trike? If so what year(s)? What I really want is a 250R trike but if I could put the CR engine in a 250r trike it might be even cooler! Thanks.

yes,the cr motor i used was a 92.you have to tilt the motor down so the exhaust will clear the frame tube.dent the pipe on the inside so it clears the p.v. assembly,and get the sprockets aligned.i made custom mounts,and still have them here.they are yours if you pay shipping.i got all of them.i just hope the 92-95 motors are the same.you will have to come up with your own intake setup,i don't have that any longer.

Wow that sounds awesome. Maybe I can pick up a roller on here. What did you use the liquid cooled style R and mount the rads where the shrouds go over like factory? I will definitly take them mounts off your hands.What would shipping be to 13667?

you need to buy a 85-86r.use the 250r rads.,not the cr.you will need to find some flexible coolant hose for the bottom rad spiget on the right side.you will see what i mean.

Well I dont think i am going to be needing them anymore. I think I am going to just fix the CR and look for a full 250r one day. Wow I love those trike. Thanks anyways though for your help and offer.
