Hello,
I have a couple of trannys for my 250sx , both kickstarters spin freely when i kick them over without the piston moving. Is something broke inside or is this a common problem? :wondering

Thanks

I couldnt find any info on installing this bearing
Do you have to split the case to replace this bearing?

Thanks

To my understanding, its on the centrifugal clutch. Its really called a clutch sprag, according to the clymer manual

No splitting, just yank off the centr... clutch and go to town.....

Thanks for the pictures, i have the side case off already and the engine is still in the bike. I will pull it out and see if it rotates clockwise. Im bettign it will , cause when i push the kickstarter down by hand , all it does is spin the clutch basket. and not move the piston.

Well as i looked at the engine it came to my attention that it might be hard to start if peieces are missing. Peices such as a centrfigual clutch assembly. The one picture is the old engine that came with it with a busted crank, the picture of the engine is the one i got from howdy with a good crank. Now i know that the engine with the old crank busted, then the guy removed the centrifugal clutch assembly , slapped back together and now i have it. Friggin MN farmers lol. That part is probally attached to a lawn tractor or something. I guess i will try to see if i can get used one with a good one way clutch for cheap or otherwise i might have to part it out.
