We have a 1985 200x and the cam bearing is wore. Was wondering if anyone had ever taken a head off a 1984 200es and put it on the 200x. Thanks for any help that you can give.

Thanks

I'm not 100% sure about a 200es but I know for a fact that a 200s and a 200m head will fit right on.I'm sure someone here will be able to tell you

It will fit on, no problems. You might want to use the 200x cam though...

arent there some performace differences between the two though....I seem to remeber someone mentioning that the valves on the X are designed more for hi-performace. Just a thought...

Right now it is jettted, uni Air, full exhaust, and a Webcam. The cam is designed for use of the stock valve springs but were wondering if it would be a good idea to use heavy duty ones. The bearing that is wore is the one that is a part of the head. I was also was wondering how much of a power increase we would notice with a 10:25 or 11:1 compression piston. Any other input as to how well the head will work is also appreciated. Thanks for all your help.

Thanks Xman, I was curious to see how much bumping up to 10:25 would do. ANy other info on the head issue would be greatly appreciated also.
