250R PVL ignition setup and questions.

Well, i just got this PVL ignition it's used and not sure how to set this thing up. there isn't a keyway on the flywheel it's just a tapered flywheel. but on the adapter plates and such there are a few timing marks and such, anyone know the setup on this, have instructions on it or done it 100 times, ha ha .

maybe there is a site that some one knows of that explains it and such?

This is what you're looking for. Let me know if I can help any further. Instead of the tape, I use a folded over piece of paper 3x...about 1 inch wide...keep the bolts of the stator loose and mount the rotor.

I recomendation...once you successfully set your timing, I would put a scratch mark on the end of the crank and the rotor to make sure that you can easily line them up in the future. I will help you if you ever have to remove the ignition system again.

well another thing. i was tring to see wether or not i am supposed to ahve a CDI box with this PVL ignition? the coil has a small box on it but it only has the two spade connectors and then the red wire. spades say it's for the stator. and the red is for a kill switch. so will there be no CDI box?

The CDI and coil are an integrated unit on PVLs.
