I was told that the 22-11-8 kenda frontmax would fit for the front on my 250sx. I recieved it and now it looks like once its mounted on the rim its going to be way to wide for the sx forks. Anyone have experience with the frontmax on there 250sx. My forks are the stock ones. I need to know asap as I was going to have it mounted today. Thanks.

it's not mounted on the rim or the trike yet? How do you know it does not fit?

It looks to be over an inch wider than the original stock tire.

the side walls will straighten out when air pressure builds up and the tire will get taller as well

Its really hard to tell how wide a tire is going to be even by the sizes. I have seen tires differ 2" on the width but have the same size numbers. Unless someone has mounted this on an SX wheel, it will really be hard to tell until its mounted. Its its close, then just air the fool out of it til its plenty far and leave it like that for awhile. Believe it or not the tire will stretch to that size, I know I have seen tires that have been over inflated and they are over an inch taller in size. haha

If your going with a Kenda Front Max, its a good choice. They are a good tire. Not sure of the size problem but im sure if you get one that matches your rim, it should fit.

Hell yeah I will.
And yes.. the 22x11.00-8 Kenda Front Max will fit on the SX. I have it on the front of my SX and it works fine. It rubs a little bit at times when the tire flexes and such, but its not a big deal. I've been running mine on my SX for a little over a year now and all is good. Check out my SX project page for some pics on what it looks like.

Cool guys. Thanks for the info. I will get it mounted up now. It looks like it is going to be real grippy on the turns.
