hey i got a 86 250 big red i got it for 600$ did a few odd jobs to it and now i max out at 115km is there anything else i could do to make it faster??

I just did the conversion and 115km=71mph. I think you mistyped because thats almost as fast as a 250r

Now see... this is what they mean when they tell you in school that MATH is very important! :confused:

There isn't really too many aftermarket hi performance parts for the big red. Maybe upgrade your air filter and exhaust pipe but IMHO it really isn't worth spending the money on. Enjoy the machine for what it is. If you want a racer get an X or an R. :)

I would rather a X or a R but were i live there are very few 3 wheelers left and i dont really want another atv.I have been clocked around 115km .It suprised the hell out of me to.

Put a SX rear diff in it. It WILL go faster. My beater has one. Its much faster.

86Bigred, those Red's are pretty fast for what they are. Put the SX rear diff on it like Clay said.

Keep an eye out for an R. I know of a nice 83/84 over here for about 1500. If you can have it picked up I can get ahold of the guy for you.

alright thanx...i live in minto new brunswick that be alot for gas and id need to find a truck..id really like a 350X i never really liked the 2-stroke

I talked to my honda dealer and he is charging me 240$ for a 300 cylinder and piston.It should give me the extra boost in speed i was looking for.

All thats going to do is get you wrapped out quicker. You wont get any more top end at all unless you change the rear diff out. You WILL be quicker out of the hole and thru the gears, but your top speed will be basically the same.

Lmao, not a chance it hits that speed, Maine trikers with a speedo only clocks 50 something MPH

wow, thats one hella fast big red if it actually went 115km...ill have to trade my 350X in for one sinch they are so much faster stock IMO

My buddies 250 big red can only do 93km/h unless yours has some NOS in it:lol:
