Well folks, it has been a while since I have posted anything, so I'll fill you in now.

Got the engine fully rebuilt and installed in the freshly powdercoated frome. It has the mid range cam, springs, valves, oil pump, timing chain and a +0.5mm piston. Everything was checked out on it also.

The front forks are completely rebuilt with brand new boots and polished housings. The tripple-tree is polished with the '86 style bearings. The hubs are red p-coat. The brakes are also red p-coat, with the tips of the front calipers cooling fins ground a bit to expose the shiny alum finish. (looks like a million bucks!) The rear shock and canister are polished, and has a new 300psi nitrogen charge and oil, and a stainless steel oil line with chrome banjos. The sprokets are all brand new, new chain, new brake pads, new universal chain roller, new homemade rear skid plate, '86 swingarm axtended 2.7 inches and p-coat black, new Magnum tapered bearing carrier w/external grease zerk, new +4" extended HD Durablue axle, new 10" polished aluminum douglas wheels with new 20x10x10 fast trekkers, new front and rear ss brake lines from russel, new front and rear maier shiny white fenders with '86 seat, new Dial-A-Jet jetting system for carb, new k&N with outerwear, new ss oil line from o-pump to the head with chrome banjos, new single clutch perch to get rid of the parking brake, new cables, polished everything, new seals throughout, new PRM desert grab bar, new tank shrouds from honda, and a new vinyl tank cover with honda wings embroidery. Every bolt on the trike is now a socket style with black oxide coating.

All in all, I look at it and cannot beleive that it is mine. The trike is absolutely exquisite! I did get more new stuff for it, but I can't remember it all right now. I can swap from the new white plastics back to the red ones in 2 minutes.

The digital camera is being serviced right now, so as soon as it is done pics will be posted! :)

Can't wait to ride it. Estimated date for starting is this saturday. Receipts add up to a little over $1700 for everything, and I have a recorded 13 hours in personal labor. Trike will never be sold.

I gotta be there when you start this thing... :-D

I've seen this trike throughout its restoration/buildup, and I must say, it is sooooo sweet looking... I can't wait to see it out at the dunes this May!

Hey Joel, like I said when you started project, I knew you'd do it up right! Can't wait to see it. Sounds like we're going to Badlands in a couple weeks, think you can make it? Hope so! Trying to arrange so we can meet John & Howdy there too. $1700.00, does that include original cost of trike also, or just rebuild/restoration you've done. Anyway sounds awesome!! Talk at ya later.

Al, the $1700 is just recently...spent $1300 on the trike when I bought it. Overall, with the exhaust and everything, I probably have about $3500 in it, if not a little more. Can't wait to start it.

I would never do something if I couldn't do it right, period.

It's 3:16 am, and I need sleep! :)
