View Full Version : How Do I Remove My Back Brake Hub

how do i remove the brake drum on my atc 110 when .. i have got the brake drum cover off and the two large nuts on the axle ..then im left looking at the brake drum i have pulled and give it a little hammer and it wont budge ..what do i do now and am i doing this correct or is there something else i need to remove im trying to remove number 5 in the diagram and what is number 18 as i cant see a way of taking it off or whats it for

heat - lubrication - heat - hammer - large screwdriver for prying.

THese little drums like to rust into place. Keep working at it, it will come off

Soak the piss outta it with penetrating oil then work it off.
Once you get it off and do your brake work, put a dab of automotive grease on the splines and put drum back on.
It will make it much easier next time to remove and will come right off.
