1. If I take out the piston, do I need to put new rings in it?

2. If I want to bore it out to a bigger piston, what do I buy? Just the piston, or is there something else I need to consider.

3. What size piston? I think it's stock, but the cylinder is all scuffed up, looks terrible. What's the biggest size I can go on a stock engine (and gasket, if that matters)?

Thanks.

Take the cylinder to machine shop before you by anything. As for bore size you really only want to go as big as needed.

going oversize too much limits how many times you can rebuild an engine...and with a 2 stroke, thats very important.

i agree, take it to a machine shop and they will be able to tell you how big you have to go to get the imperfections out.

and no, you dont need to replace the rings when you take the cyclinder off.

Yeah take it to machine shop and get that bore checked. Best thing you can do is get it checked.
