I was riding around the shop today, trying to find a coolant leak on my 85 Honda 250R.
I didn't ride for more than 5 minutes, but when I pulled her into the garage, I noticed I could not shift in to nuetral. It turns out (since I never shifted past 2nd gear) that the shift lever is now touching the foot pegs, and won't shift down because it is crashing in to the foot pegs. The gear lever does not appear to be bent, and the teeth--or whatever the hell you call em--on the gear shift shaft are okay.
I'm totally confused. It's like finding the PRNDL gear lever on a truck, instead of at the 2 o'clock position down to the 6 o'clock position, right between your legs!
