stator coil for my 1985 big red

well took my big red to the dealer because it was not running right.....they said it needs a new stator coil, guess what Honda no longer makes it!!! do ya'll know of a good source for new stator coils or place to buy a rebuilt one.....thanks!!

I just bought a two trike, three motor basket case. I can check to see if I have one in there and let you know! Got lots of big red parts, two frames, front end, rear end, etc.... I think i'll break it all down and put up a list but I'll let you know if I have a good stator.

first thanks for the replies.......called and spoke to the folks at Ricky Stator, they don't work on stator's for big red's (or any other model that uses that same stator).....found a place that will rebuild it for $175!....I don't have choice unless someone comes up with one.....thanks again for the replies.

If i were you I would hang on for a while. I am sure somebody on this list will have one a lot cheaper than that. A lot of people take off for the weekend so just give it a few days to see what happens.
