I have an 85 200X, with 12:1 Wiseco piston, 395 lift WebCam, RD Valve springs, Cobra exhaust, 30mm Carburator. Does anyone know how to go about setting the timing correctly?

first thing, are you running race gas?

Second thing: Timing. I think the sprockets on the webcam are different from stock so i am not sure of the markings. But, here we go. To set the timing on the 1985 200x, take off the two holes on the left flywheel cover. Make it so the piston is at TDC and to make sure that is right, there should be a "T" visible on the upper hole(on flywheel cover) or a white splotch. When you are sure that you are at TDC, make it so the cam lobes(two) face downwards and then make it so the sprocket letter (stock is the "O") is facing upwards. Then put everything together and fire her up! You may have to adjust the valves but that is not to difficult. I would reccomend race gas if you are not already doing it. 12:1 piston will create a lot of heat!
