I Notice the piston on my 250R 85' has lot's of Carbon build up on it ... so off i went to the local autoparts store and they recomended - SEA FOAM - to clean it .

Bought a can cost $7.99 ... say's 2 stroke and 4 stroke , it's a multi use type deal.

Has any one here used it ?

is it SAFE ?:wondering

Post any INFO or Thought's

It's the schit!! Sea Foam is the best carb, injector, and fuel system cleaner. I use it in my car, lawn mowers, snowmobiles, and am going to run some in my 3 wheeler soon. my 3 wheeler is a 4 stroke, but sleds are 2 cycle, and still running good.

it works the best in my opinion for cleaning out carbs, and injectors. It might help with all that carbon deposit on your piston.

Whats the best way's to Use it -

1. Should i pour Some in the Gas Tank

2. Pour threw the Spark Plug Hole

3. Pour some down the Carburator top Screw Cap

4. Or pour threw the Reed's down in to the Crank area

Which should i do ?

Is all of the above OK ?

I used it with my trike and quad, and my bro uses it on Danger Ranger. Just take a little bit to your gas tank and ride her hard, she might smoking like a diesel, but that is good.

I've used it in several machines with great success. Just mix it with your gas at the recommended amount on the can. If you have carbon built up, try to drain your tank and just mix up like 1/2 a gallon maybe a little strong, and run it through it. Should work great.

I would put some in the plug hole after you have warmed it up. That will remove all the built up carbon on the piston, it may start really hard the fisrt time but if you let it sit there for a minute or two (with the piston at TDC) then start it. It will clean the carbon right up! Oh and it will smoke like a mother for a bit! I use it on anythig I get that has sat for a while or has had crap gas in it. Always makes it run better!

Sea-foam is the best stuff for your carb/motor that you could run through it! The stuff is awsome, I run it though everything, trike, sled, car, mini-bike etc. I just pour it in the tank then shake the machine around to mix it better with the gas, within 10 min. of riding,it runs freakin awsome than before, you can tell a big difference if the machine ran like sh!t before.

wow lots of good reviews... ive seen people hydrolock motors pouring it into their throttle bodies. never seen anyone put it in their gas tank. i would only recomend that on a motor that isnt very sensitive to gas quality. eg high perf motor/turbocharged/supercharged/high comp/etc...

So I want to ask? Does Lucas make something similiar to this stuff (fuel additive) or is this stuff totally diffrent? I would think anything with the lucas label on it would be ok, No?

I would put it in the spark plug hole when the piston is BDC.
