i thoguht i saw somewhere else it was 2 1/2 screws out.
i searched the forums here and only found information about the 84 and older models.

84 would be the same...but you should start with it at maybe 1 turn out and with it running keep turning it out slowly till the idle gets as high as is can then reset the idle. if you do this that will be the perfect setting for your bike

well you didnt say what screw...i thought you ment the air screw
if you want to just set the idle just set it till it idles good

what i was talking about was set the air screw about 1 turn out then start it up and set the idle. then slowly turn the air screw till the idle gets as high as it will. then set the idle back down till its right.....thats how you set the air screw

okay, i wasnt aware that there was two screws.
the idle screw is the one on the side of the carb that faces out? where is the other one?

the air screw is near the bowl and it goes up into the carb
