I had a +4 axle in my 200x, today I put on a 84r extended axle and I had to grind the tabs on the hub to fit my rims and I had to oval the holes a tad to slide onto the rim. I didn't know the 84r had a different pattern slightly. I had to file the edges of the carrier adjustments as it rubbed the sprocket nuts . I put on 14/36 gearing on, and a chain. Its gonna get modded more, next is a cam, the will be a short track tank(I am gonna cut and weld a beat tank to make it smaller), then the tank will be cleaned and sealed and last painted. I ordered a douglas front rim and I will order a tire. I will make adjustable steering stops, so If I go back to the stock tank for trail rides, the forks don't hit the tank. I will have the front end rebuilt too with a terry kit(its a 84r front end on 350x tripples). And last of all I am gonna send a motor to TC and have a stroker, cam, porting, dual plug, and 12:1 piston done. This is gonna be a 86 200x you are not gonna mess with when I am done.

Didn't somebody make a plastic tank for the 200x that allowed for a tighter turning radius? I could swear I've seen one.

I know of plastic tanks for a 83-85, nobody that I knows of makes a 86/87 plastic tank, a short track tank would be even harder to get. I have a 83-85 plastic tank, but its too wide and high. A 86/87 has lines that match up with everything, but some of the front of the tank will have to be cut off and shortened. You might be thinking of a 85/86 short track kit, I have one of those on my atc-r, it won't even come close to fitting.

I thought you had a 83-85 200x. Nevermind.
