LOL, I don't think I'd use the word "fabrication" in that description.

 I'm going to have to agree 100%!!!

Can't you use silicone instead of all that duct tape??? And why did you want a honda thumb throttle? Did the tecates haze twist??? I personally prefer the twist on a trike anyday over a thumb....

didn't tecates' have twist throttles?

You better hope that does not fail while jumping, cornering or anything else.
You could be in for a nasty spill if throttle sticks open.

Seriously, that looks like a trip to the emergency room just waiting to happen.

i prefer the thumb myself. i have a twist on the 500r and it is scary when you get on the pipe in a wheely!!!

I just replaced the thumb on my tecate with a twist...........the aftermarket thumber would only open the carb 1/2 way, I prefer twist anyway.

That is a two stroke right.... PRAY it does not get stuck wide open. WOT is fine when it's expected but when it does it on it's own it is really really really bad. It's what broke my CR250 and my tailbone - which still hurts 8 years later.

man oh man, here i was thinking I do some weird stuff....that Honda throttle looks cools sitting next to the Yamaha brake cylinder on the kawasaki trike:D

seriously, that sure looks like some serious emergency room bills you have taped to your handle bars! Dave

The twist that was on it was sticking everytime you gave it over 3/4 throtle it would stick open. With the thumb now its much better... may not look to good or solid, but it definetly aint letting go. Its been feild tested:lol:

Eh, i rode it yesterday, its a huge improvement, over that retarded twist. it felt pretty sturdy to me, I beleive hes looking for a real thumb at TF, some one hook him up, then he wont be in danger.

Hell, its fine, seen worse. That is just to get by for now until its Gorilla glued or a thumb throttle made for it is put on, but we are all poor, ya'll now how that works. That twist throttle was a death trap, was way to touchy and for where we ride it was not a good choice to have on that machine.

When a twist throttle sticks you can turn it back and at least give it some help to return, when a thumb sticks you are fully relying on the spring so your screwed lmao.

you have to do what you have to do, if it sticks pull in the clutch and hit the brakes/kill switch.. all else fails grab the plug wire and rip it off..
