I rethreaded the spark plug hole on my 185s because it was stripped, I was careful to keep metal shavings out of cylinder and was sure to pull on starter many times to kick up shavings out of cylinder. I sprayed W-40 around the threads to clean them up. After I put the plug in i went to start it and now it won't start. Was using W-40 a mistake do I need to let it air out for awhile? Or does it sound that something else could be the problem? Need lots of help I'm still learning.

I HAD TO PUT A HELICOIL IN MY 350x and it woul;d bnot start after that either. i think one of my valves were stuck open from a metal shaving. i pulled it up the road and it fired right up and iv had no problem since!!!

I am getting a spark. It is a blueish-yellowish color. I can see that gas is getting to plug but it is not turning over. It started easily before i had to do this.

when you say its not turning over that means the piston isnt moving. Is that what you meant? I'm actually having a simiar problem with my 185s, seems to start on dry days but when its wet it wont pull start. However it will pop off if you pop start it.

You should probably just let it air out, or spray a little ether into the cylinder and tr
