82 yt125j interchangabel with 83 04 84 parts

Hey eveveryone just wondering if these motors changed that much or if the parts are interchangeable Like the engine or clutch things like that thanks.

Also does any one no if you can by an engine for an 82 yamaha 125

The engines are interchangeable as complete assemblies.......

As far as parts , There is a wide spread confusion about Reed cages...
They are listed as 80 - 82 and 82 - 85----somewhere in 82 there were changes made, so make sure of your year before you buy anything.

whats wrong w/ it ? i have a 84 175 my self
you can get after market clutch parts, gaskets , pistons (wiseco) from
dennis kirk-1-800-328-9280 its cheeper .
the stock piston is discontinued for 175 so i assume so is the 125
