Some how my spark plug hole is stripped. I went to take my plug out and it came out easily, then i tried to insert it back in and the plug won't even fit in the treads. My plug is not stripped , however the plug hole must be. What should i do I have no clue-never seen this problem?
thanks

Take the plug to the nearest auto parts store and tell them you need a "HELI-COIL"-----Follow the directions in the package and youll be set.

You have a few choices:
1. Remove the head & have a helicoil installed.
2. Leave the head on & have a helicoil installed, but you risk getting metal shavings into the cylinder if you do it this way.
3. Remove the head & have the plug hole drilled out & rethreaded to the next size up. If you choose this option, you will have to use a different type of plug, so make sure you find one that is the correct depth & heat range.
4. Replace the head.
Personally, I would go with # 3 or 4. Either will cure the problem, not just patch it. Also, I have had mixed results with helicoils. From no problems to total destruction of an engine.

As ABSOLUTELY INSANE as it sounds------with the plug out---piston at the bottom-
Fill the cylinder with water, and drill till your hearts content. When your done , crank the engine over, till no more water comes out, and repeat. Ive never had a problem with shavings. Of course the best bet is head replacement......Availabilty and price may be an issue.

ask the parts store if they have a spark plug insert they use to sell these in auto parts stores ,tap the threds put insert in your new plug goes in there your done!!
or use a helicoil they dont recommend this because of compression!!
bye used head (if the cost is too much to fix bye used head!!!!!!!!!
