What tool should yopu use to remove valve springs? The automotive big 'c' clamp types are too big for the 200x head. I want to service these my self and can't find the right tool. Thanks alot.

I used a smaller version for lawnmower engines that I got a my local auto parts store. It was only like $15.

Found valve spring compressor in a snap-on catalog for $20.80. It is special for air cooled and small honda engines. The model # is cf19a.

when I did the valves on my 200x I had my dad help me and we took 2 screw drivers and layed them on their side and while one person pushes down on the spring the other uses a magnet and retrieves the little clips that hold the spring in place. A little more tricky than the right tool would be, but hey, if it saves you a dollar it saves you a dollar.

good luck

I just take a big C- clamp and a big nut with two of the sides cut out so I can get the wedge things out.
