Here is my 250SX I picked up last week. A little gunk in the carb - a little fix of the fender - a 350X front fender - and a one way bearing, and it's a good trike. Good finds like this make me happy!!!

Cheers:beer

Nice score! I kinda like the front fender. How much did that set you back?

Ya, that's the first time I've seen a 350X/250R fender on an SX. Looks great! crdoo, you now know what your trike will look like with fender upgrade, unless you got one already............

Looks good man! I'm thinking about picking up an 85 sx I heard about near me but was wondering about a couple things: Are they auto clutch or straight up manual transmissions? And they are shaft-driven correct? Any things I might need to look at before I buy? Again, looks like a nice find!

Dude... If the price is right GET IT. You won't be dissapointed. It's one of the best three wheelers honda made.. Electric start, auto clutch, Super low 1st gear,, reverse.. Very comfortqable and RELIABLE. I have an 85 and it has yet to have a wrench turned on the motor... dollar for dollar.. you just can't beat them. ;)

The more I look into them and the amount of parts/mods you can do to them the more I want to get this one. Unless I end up buying a new truck this weekend I plan to try to pick it up next weekend. Anyway, sorry to hijack the thread.

Well this guy has been a pain and a pleasure. Once I got it running and a 350X carb on it I found that it had major clutch problems. I actually ended up buying a parts 250SX so I could have it running for TF. The 350X fender is now mounted (although it is a little crooked - I'll have to fix that after TF).

I do love this thing. I was going nuts not neing able to get the clutches (both of them) right on it. I was about to give up on taking it to TF - 4 late nights in the garage sweating bullets to get it running (actually it ran - but to make it mobile).

Here is a picture from last night getting it done. It was missing a taillight so I had to retro-fit a ATC90 tail light on it. I love mixing and matching small stuff like the 350X fender and the ATC90 taillight. Makes it very unique.

Once back from TF - a new 1-way bearing will be installed -

John Swinehart - if you read this before TF - no need to wrench on it there as I am bringing many others to ride - this will be my campsite rider for TF06, I would like to buy that 1 way bearing from you if you want to take it though. I really appriciate the offer though - it means alot for you to take the time to be willing to change out the bearing whilst "on vacation". See you there John!!!!

What was involved in putting a 350x carb on it? Did you have to buy anything else for it or did you just replace it with the 250sx carb. Does it give it much more power?

throw the 350x carb on and rejet it with the stock jet sizes of an SX.

so i can just put on a 350x carb and replace the jets with the jets off my old 250sx carb? does it give it any more power or speed? is it worth and and is it a big difference? whats the disadvantages?

I dont believe you can just swap jets, adds alot more low end punch, only disadvantage might be you have to buy it and it uses up a little more gas than normal

I didn't re-jet it. Same jets that were in my 350X. Although I have only ridden it about 15 minutes - seems fine. Not sure on the power increase because I never rode it wit the 250SX carb - Wheeliepop could better answer that for you.
