fly key

my 85 atc 110 has ate up two fly wheel keys today with out me knowing it still ran but it missed horribly how come? theyre shearing

Look carefully at the flywheel----Is it missing a balance weight?---The "wobble "effect can loosen the nut and shear the keys off

ok what weights i have another flywheel off a know (*Edited**Edited* the top end blew) working engine thats where this ones stator assembly came from

does it fit tightly over the key----or is it a sloppy fit
Any excessive vibration will do that--even if YOU cant feel it

it fits nice and tight i didnt even know it broke i found iit when i was fixing the pull starter .....but i did notice that the pull starter rubbed on the dog cage its shiney silver now?
