to having a narrower rear axle. Switched around the rear tires there 4 inch back on one side and 6 on the other. also turned the hubs around. pulled the wheel center in like 5 inches. Now other then it making the trike less stable, wouldn't it also make the trike turn tighter? Physically it would be having to drag the wheels less to make the turn. Also Youd be running a smaller track width and inturn part of the rear tire would be following in the path of the front tire.

Anyone else try this before??

Drag racers do this. The theory is the narrower the distance inbetween your wheels are, the more weight (traction) is put on them. This works good for woods riding to a certain extent. You dont want to be a full 50 inches like an MXer when your weaving inbetween trees but you dont want to feel like your on a big wheel either :)
