Oil Questions.

I'm getting ready to change the oil in the 350x and the 200x. I have a few questions. Is it worth the extra expense to move to a synthetic oil or not? Is just using regular 10w40 motor oil ok? What viscosity? 10w30 or 10w40? Or should I at least get the oil that is made for atv's?

Also the 200x has a pretty beefed up motor so take that into consideration.

If you live in a hot climate, I would use 10w40, otherwise stay with 10w30. And NO SYNTHETIC! Your clutches will slip....

And NO SYNTHETIC! Your clutches will slip....Not true, I run 1 quart of synthetic and then top it off with good dino oil. You get the best of both worlds then. The key is to get clutch safe synthetic and these days there's lots to choose from. Believe me, if my clutch was slipping my fat butt would make it show, lol.

I'd run 10w-40 myself.

i only run valvolin racing oil 20-50 its one of a few oils rated for gear box use.
