Hey all, just wondering if anyone knows what cylinders will work with short-rod and long-rod 250R cranks. I know you can use an early cylinder with a long-rod, by using a spacer plate. How about the other way around? A long-rod cylinder and a short-rod crank? Use the early 85-86 piston? What about using a CR cylinder head? If so any particular year, and what does it change? I am looking for crank/cylinder/piston combos that work together, and I am sure someone here has messed around with it and has some answers. :D

After a little further searching here on the site, I have found the answer to my question, other than the CR head. Guess I shoulda looked a little harder. That being said, I can get the engine buttoned up except for the clutch. Still waiting for that yet.

any cylinder will work on any year you just have to use the piston to match the crank.
