So guys... any tips on how to install this thing? I'm going to try and tackle it sometime this week, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

There is a good write up at 3wheeler.org on how to do it. I am waiting on my fly wheell puller to get here so I can get my Goki on too. It is pretty easy to do not much to it.

No problem. I bet you can't wait to stop kicking that 350X I know I can't. Mine is easy to start when cold but hard to start once it has ran a while.

Piece of cake... just take it one page at a time... the instructions are very detailed... Make sure you buy a sealed battery if you want to be able to tip your bike up onto the grab bar. hollar if you need someone to confirm anything...

fitting is very easy, just takes time, hardest part for mine was putting the ring gear on the fly wheel and being certain it was seated properly. i also did away with the agricultural starter knob and used a honda light switch with starter button on it. also i recommend a powerful battery as 350x`s are hard to crank over, i also made a decompression lever on the bars to aid starting good luck and let us know how you get on.

Well... I started the install today. It is by far more simple then I imagined.
The hardest part was indeed installing the "ring gear"... but everything else went fine
I'll keep you guys posted on the progress... hopefully I'll be done tomorrow :D

What models they make those for?

As far as I know the 350x is the only model you can still get them for, but I do believe they were made for the 200x and 200s as well, but good luck finding one.
So far, I am absolutely amazed at how perfect this kit is... it's like it was made by Honda themselves. GOKI thought of everything when they designed this. And the instructions are simply amazing... very easy to follow.
However, I was unable to remove the "Crankshaft Hole Cap" from the old crankcase cover... so I ordered a new one from Service Honda, hopefully they are still available.
For those of you who have one of those setups with the decompression release: could you please post up pics and maybe a brief description of what you did to get it setup? Thanks a bunch.

Thanks for the pics man! :beer
I finished all I could on the install today... need to wait for the "Crankshaft Hole Cap" I ordered from Service Honda to come in before I can start her up.
Now... any of you guys have a problem with the shifter not fitting right with the new crankcase cover??? (see attached pic). I was thinking of bending it, but thought I'd ask first. If you put the shifter in all the way... it rubs against the crankcase cover :(
Here's a few pics: and I did in fact turn the starter motor over a few times... ahehe... it's sounds totally awesome :D

JLATV products list the goki starter for several applications, including the 200s and various other models. I cant imagine the $249 is for the starter along, when they list the same thing for the 350x for $299.

Phil, there shouldn't be a space problem. It should be the same amount of clearance of a stock side case.Blazer had asked me about this awhile ago.I told him you wouldn't even notice the difference, after he installed one,he said your right! So,something isn't right then.

OK... I tried putting the shifter on all the way... and it was as I suspected, there is not enough clearance to make a shift up.
Oh well... I'm just gonna have to bend the shifter a bit, it's not much, just a tad outa do it.
What are you using to keep the batteries charge up??
The GOKI kit is fully integrated into the stock electrical system... so it will be charged as you ride :D
What size battery did you use?
Um... can't remember right now... haha... I'll get the numbers for you in the morning.

How much total weight does that Kit add with the Battery? My 350X allways starts by the 2nd kick Hot or Cold.

When I had ordered it a certain part was actually on back order, so it's hard to say. But it's wasn't more then 3-4 weeks.
