Well I decided that my other 86 was just too nice to ride around on much, so I picked up another 86 that I can clean up and make look pretty decent. But most of all I can RIDE IT:p . I made a Haul up to Southern IL Sunday and went by one of our jobs on the way back in Memphis. Since I was in ScottZJ's HOOD I stopped by and crashed for the night. We tore the JACKED UP front end off and got er back together. Man. SHOT front forks would be a understatement. Basically the lower silver aluminum portion of the leg fell off when we jacked it up and started to unbolt the font forks. Slid right off. The chrome sliders were still in the T-Tree. We had to run over the leg with Scotts F250 and put a 3ft cheater pipe on a socket wrench to get the axle out of the fork leg. It took BOTH of us pulling ont he pipe to get it to break. And it took multiple pulls. Then we still had to use the cheater pipe to back it out the entire way. Wheew!!! Manual labor baby. Then the axle was frozed inside the hub. Had to beat it out with a sledge hammer. Sorry about that hand Scott. Nailed him once. Anyway here she is. I have some good tires to slap on it, and a NICE tank and pair of sidecovers. Im going to sell another NICE tank for a 86 BR and use that money to buy some maier front and rear fenders. Motor is in good shape, electric start is good, Kicker is good, and the rear end is fairly new apparently. He had to replace it. :p She should be lookin halfway acceptable come trikefest. This thing was Dirtay when I got it. Tires were green with alge/mold:crazy: :beer

Yeah its in need of some love but Clay is the man to take care of that lol. Oh the hand is sore but no broken bones, so its all good. I am sure it will look like a new rig when I see it.

Dude. I went and pulled the carb off today. Guess what I found in the air tube that goes from the frame to the airbox. A dirt dobber nest that was the size of 6 golfballs. It was HUGE. It was crazy. Well I put that other carb on I bought, and im a little pissed. Its was suppose to be a 86 carb. Its a 85, and the bike will not idle with it. At all. It will only run on choke. I did give it a run this evening. It did ok until I realized as I was approaching this 14inch pine tree that I had NO BRAKES. NONE>   SO I made the best evasive maneuver that I could. The bike is fine, but my shoulder is a bit sore. I saw it coming, and I was only in first gear. So. I leaned over real far and took the blow with my left shoulder. Couldnt be jacking up my new beater bike. Oh well I have a lot of work to do. I guess I will be installing a carb kit in the original 86carb tommorow. Picked up a new battery this evening. No more dang kicking.:p

Got her running like a singer sewing machine now. Runs Great. Engine is in excellent condition mechanically. Entire bike for that matter. I ended up putting a Carb kit in it. The transformation is about to begin.:naughty: :naughty:
