my 110 atc has some worn rings. id like to do a piston and ring swap on it, but am a little confused as to the ring and piston size. ive visited beatrice cycle, and they have all the parts id need, but im just not sure which set to get. im pretty sure that the piston in the 110 at the moment is the original. below ive included the sizes of the pistons and rings offered, and if anyone has any input on the situation, it would be greatly appreciated. also, my earlier post about the 3 wheeler being a 1983 was incorrect, it is, in fact, a 1984.
thanks in advance

You will have to pull the engine and check out your cylinder. It will needed to be measured to see if its in service limits. you will also need to measure the piston. then from there you will know what you need. If your piston and cylinder are still with in spec and the cylinder is not out of round. you may be able to use the stock rings and hone the cylinder. You have to tear it down to find out what you are dealing with. First step is get a manual.

thank you,
this is one kick ass site, and it really does leave you feeling welcome. im proud to be a part of it. im keeping my eye out for that manual. at the moment, im weighing in on doing it myself, or finding a qualified individual to complete the task. im a little short on the proper tools to do all the measuring and finishing of the cylinder.
i will post how it turns out though.

I understand what you are saying. This site is great. :Bounce I just rebuilt the topend on my 350x and with out these guys I would have never even attempted it. Its not hard but does require a few special tools but not alot. A machine shop can bore or hone your cylinder fairly cheap. Around twenty to fifty dollars. You would need to take your piston to the machine shop with the cylinder and they can do all of the measuring boring/ honing that is required. The only other tools you would need besides the basic metric wrench and socket set is a torque wrench and some type of valve spring compressor to take out the valves. You may as well get those cleaned up or replaced while you have it tore down. My suggestion is to get a hold of a manual and look over what all is involved. :beer
