So I have been sorting through all the old posts on this whole redkote in a plastic tank. None have answered the questions properly. Well I have just bought a clarke gas tank for my bigred and have put brand new stickers on it, inlcuding all the warning decals. I dont want them to start peeling off in a couple of months time.

So is there a way I can stop this? I heave heard that if I use this redkote stuff the tank will not need to breathe and the stickers will stay on the tank easily?

Has anyone had any luck with this so far? How long has it lasted?

Seen as I am in Australia, where the heck can I obtain this "Red Kote" product? Any other names for it?

Cheers Fellas.

I used red-kote to seal a plastic gas can with success ( 7-8 months ago ). So I would say it would work fine for your application. I don't know if it is sold under any other name. If need be I can help get a can of it to you.

Yes it does work on plastic tanks, you will just have to pay special attention to detail on it, as it is a tad different then metal. The main problem with getting it to Aussieland is it is considered hazardous material and if you do ship it, it cost tons more. Check out their site in the UK and they might be able to assist you.

Kreeme is junk. I have used Red Kote on a number of tanks. Works good. I plugged a pencil sized hole with the stuff. Just taped over the outside of the tanks and lined the tank, then let it puddle in that spot.

Wicked..

I can pickup some of the stuff from australian ebay for 90 dollars to my door. Bit pricey but you have to have it if ya want those stickers to stay on right?

Thanks for the offer Howdy, but I should be fine.

Thanks Again.
