what kind of oil?

what kind of oil goes around the crankshaft on a 2-stroke engine, do i put the oil in before i put the cylinder on, or let it fill it's self?

Well,if I understand your question right, you don't fill the crankcase with oil on a 2 stroke engine;that is what the purpose of 2 stroke oil in the gas.However, the case will have a separate oil plug for the gearbox only. In short, the two stroke motorcycles will have two separate parts in one case;one for the crankshaft(that requires pre-mix) and the tranny that requires motorcycle oil.
