I picked this up this up last weekend. It has a 1000cc MC motor in it. Does anyone know what this motor is out of. I did not even relize what size the motor was till it got home. I got 2 Xs from a guy for $200. The other one has a auto 200 w/ new rings & piston.

I know some of you will think it's wrong, but that is ok. This thing will haul some serious ass.

The backward exhaust is custom it cost extra. lol Ya the fram will need reenfocred. It should be fun when it done. I was told it needs new rings and piston, but I haven't even messed with it yet.

umm, that is not a 1000cc engine. It might take 1000cc's of oil but displacment might be more like 200cc's.

That is what is says on it 1000cm3. I checked twice to make sure it did not say 100. I will get the numbers off the case & mabey some one call tell me what it is from.

dude that thing will be a beast if you get it running. id be worried about the 200x suspension it can barely handle the 200 cc motor let alone 1000cc lol

DOes it say that on the case or the cylinder? Check the clyinder for the displacment.

I will have to agree with the displacement, I Have never seen a 1000cc motor with a single carb and a single exhaust, I might be wrong though, but my cb 750 is huge compared to that I could never dream seeing that in a 200x frame.

There is no way on gods green earth that that is a 1000cc engine.

It probably holds a 1000cc of oil in the cases

sorry to disappoint you

Ah I did not know that. Looks like I got all excited for nothing. This machince will be going to the chop block if it is just a 200 in it.

Engine is a Yamaha Sr-250 engine. Those go very well for a single cylinder.

Here are some pics of my SR250, so ya can verify..

THats a 200 or 250 out of a 80's small street bike like an XT or exciter.

The engine is out of a exciter. XT looks a bit different from memory...

Thank you. Mabey I will keep it if it's a 250 street bike motor. Are they pretty quick? The carb that is on it is from a 200x.

Yeah, they pull hard for a 250 single cylinder. In one of my manuals it sais that they are around 23 hp stock and thats with the restictor still fitted...

Speedo goes up to 140...
