i just put new boyeson power reeds on my tri-z and now when i ride it, it revs sooooooo high like very high like the first time it did it it was in nuetral and it reved all the way up so i hit the kill switch... still was running so in fear of having a piston blow out and hit me in the nuts i ran away..... but eventually after like 30 seconds it stopped.... well then i turned the jet screws just a little to the left.... and i started it... it seemed fine but i shifted to second and it almost threw me off because it hit high revs and wouldnt stop... i did the same thing... wondering what to do?

Very lean:eek:

Since you just changed your reeds I would look for an air leak around the sealing surface of the reed cage. If it happens again hold the brakes shift into top gear and let the clutch out to kill the bike.

check your intake seals, they are probably leaking. What color is your plug, After putting in new reeds or any mod you should keep an eye on it to make sure your not too lean.

Im running an XT225 one on my Z now. It works great although I need to bleed it again.

Did you use any chemicals when changing the reeds, if you got something like white spirit or kerosene in there, it might have caused it to run with the ignition off.
