I was just wondering what guys were running for tranny oil in their 85 250r's? I have a Clymers manual and it suggests using 10w-40. Thanks!

I use Honda brand gear oil. I think it is 85/90 and is thin like the 10/40 or even 10/30 but that suff is fantastic. Goes in gear real nice and never missed a shift and clutch is nice and smooth.
It is specially designed for 2 stroke crankcases.

10-40 Is GOOD in the winter and pending "in the summer" how you warm it up .....STRAIGHT 50 Kendall or Valvoline 50 Racing !!! the motors get REAL HOT !!
