I was working on my '85 200S and the screw that holds the exhaust into the motor broke....so now its not long enough to catch the bolt to tighten it so exhaust is coming straight from the motor and not the muffler....How can I replace this bolt??
Please Help

unscrew it out and screw in a bolt that fits temorarily at least
use vice grips to get her out...

Hook vicegrips to it and turn it out of the block. Find a 6mm bolt ***10mm socket fits the head****about an inch and a half long and turn that in to hold it down!

you may have to heat it up with a torch to get it out.

I had the same problem with my cousins 200x. We just sprayed some liquid wrench on it and let it sit for a few minutes. I was suprised how easy it came out after that.

Cut a slot with a dremel or some thing like it. Soak it in some lube let it sit for a while. Then use a impact screwdrive. The kind you hit with a hammer. You may have to use some heat too.

You can get then at any hardware or auto store. You will need some dill bits to use with it. You can also try left hand thread drill bits. Some times that will get them out.

If heating and trying to exctract, or ez outs don't work, you might be looking at drilling out and heiliciol or time certs.

Wow, those tools scare me just looking at themm...I went out and bought some liquid wrench so tomorrow I'm gonna try the dremel/liquid wrench + heat method...I'll be angry and probably break alot more then just bolts..So wish me luck and the virtue of patience!
I just want my new pipe on so I can finally rideee..

Man good luck with that. I just replaced all four of my exhaust studs in my 350x and it was not easy. I tried everything. I even tried welding nuts on the ends and the studs broke off. They where in really bad shape. Machine shop charged me 40 bucks to drill and retap them.
