I've been working with this 110 I got a while back and I've had a few problems. I got everything on it fixed and it lost spark. I've thought about getting one of those new off brand motors to put in and I found a pretty good looking one. What does everybody think? It's a 4speed auto w/ reverse and electric start.

I would like to keep it stock, but my motor has a few more problems than losing spark. It needs new clutches or some serious adjusting and a bore.

I hear those lifan engines are fantastic. Parts are interchangable with Honda parts.

We bought a 110 quad for my daughter last year. It has the Honda 110 knock-off engine on it. Runs good, but WILL NOT idle on cold engine. Everyone I've talked to about these engines has the SAME problem. You have to keep goosing throttle for 5-10 min before it will idle. My 9 year old daughter always allows it to die. After 4 or 5 restarts, battery goes dead. No backup pull rope. Hers also shifts very hard. Really stiff shifting. I'd put the money in your Honda engine. It'll also have better resale value.
