i noticed a problem last time i had my 200x out. after it warmed up i noticed it was smoking fromt he tail pipe. Now being a car guy i know blue smoke meand oil. but the weird problem is it smokes when warm, not cold. i have been storing it on the back wheels but i thought that will be ok. been told it could be cheap oil. i guess what i am confused by is the spark plug showes no sign of oil fouling. could it be oil leaking into the tail pipe due to the way it is stored or should i look for a rebuild kit? and while i have your attention who sells the best (also inexpensive) rebuilld kit for a 1985 200x. ooh and how difficult is rebuilding one of these little critters?:wondering

Check your airbox for water and your headpipe bolts making sure they are tight. Im going to guess its water in your airbox or a dirty carb check your airbox first then tear down your carb and give it a good cleaning.

would a dirty carb cause smoke? wouldn't it alsp flood or backfire once and a while? judging by the color of the smoke i would say it would have to be oil, but my plug is not oil fouling. if anthing the plug is getting carbon fouled.
and as far as 20w50 i thought the way multi grade oil worked was as the engine got warmer the oil got thinner. do i have it backwards? Also i thought i read on a recent post multigrade oil was bad for trikes?:wondering

I use multigrade in everything with my trikes. The 350X runs better with it! I would say clean your carb and check your airbox for water. If its white its either water/condensation or your carb is dirty.

if you are storing it on the rear wheels? that could be your problem. oil is running back in the carb. does it clear up after a long ride?

haven't given it a long ride yet will do so this weekend, how long before it should clear up an hour or two?

Or 15/40. Take your carb off and give it a good cleaning. They are pretty self explanitory and easy to dissasemble and reasemble if you pay attention to how they come appart.
