Anyone know why oil would spatter out of the exhaust hole after start up an go away after it gets warme up? I have a new exhaust coming for it soon so if I can fix that problem at the same time that would be good. It is also leaking some oil out of the rewind. How hard is it to get at the oil seal or whatever it may nee to stop this leak. I have the honda manual but it is vague at best. Thanks.

The oil coming from the exhaust is probably your vavle guied seals. The oil from behind the recoil is a plastic seal. To replace the valve guied seals you need to tear off the valve cover and remove the valves to replace the small green seals. You can order them from your local dealer. The seal behind your recoil you can replace without splitting the cases this seal allso is available from your local dealer.

Or, behind the recoil the alluminum housing has a paper gasket and a o ring seal, these could be bad allso.
