my buddy just gave me this 86 200s today. its a little rough. it does run, but it burns oil. plus its a pain to start but once its running it runs good. im gonna do a carb rebuild on it, needs a pull start assembly, and two new rear tires, and later down the road new rings. nothing fancy its just gonna be a beater/mudd bogger.
before he lost all the peices to the pull starter, it wouldnt start with the pull starter, we had to pull it with another machine to get it to start. is that because the carb is screwed up? we did put the carb on another 200s and it wouldnt start with the pull starter eather.
what i need to know is what are the correct settings for the carb. so when i do a rebuild i can put it all back to the normal settings.
this is the only pic i have right now.

If you get a rebuild kit, the right jets and stuff will be in there. Here are the specs though.

Pilot screw opening 2 1/4 out

Main 100

needle 3rd groove

If you need any parts, I might can help.

That looks to be an 85 or an 86 with an 85 tank graphics.

If its burning oil, instead of new rings put some stuff like Lucas oil treatment in with your oil. That stuff's very thick and it will shut down some of the oil burning.

lucas will slick over the clutch plates and make the clutch slip like schnizt. I already tried this and it no work fo me...! Put a set of rings in that puppy, and then she'll be done.!

it says 86 on the frame. maybe the other owner put a 85 tank on it.
