My trike will not run
it will only run by push starting it and it will not pull start.

I also need the owners manual for a yamaha tri moto 125:TrikesOwn

Maybe a case of low compression. Need more details like did it run good before, when was the last rebuild, got a compression tester?

It does turn over when you pull start it right? I figure this is what you mean, just want to clarify. If it isn't catching at all, take apart the pull start mechanism and look for flaws. Try finding an online manual, also.

do you think it could be the compression release valve?

Compression or ignition. Pull starting cranks it over faster than pull starting because of the transmission speed.

Yeah, push starting it will likely produce a more robust spark from the plug than using the pull start. Its fireing a lot more often and faster when you push crank it. Could be a weak coil or something with the ignition system.

If this is tri moto 125 I had a 1981 that did this same thing and was low compression.

Check compression before shelling out the "JING" on a new piston
