I've finally stopped procrastinating on my ATC90 project. I'm replacing all the seals on the left side of the engine, since I have the cover off. The one I can't figure out is the shift shaft seal. With the shift shaft in the way, I'm not sure how to get it out. Has anyone ever done this?

try useing a small screwdriver to work it out, i wouldnt worrie about ruining it if your going to replace it just dont marr up the case. maybe a pic and hook set would work too.

also you can try to drill a hole in it, then put a screw in there. then if you have a slide hammer. wale it out...

or just put an o ring hook in the hole you drilled.

good luck

Ok, I get the idea, but isn't the case right behind the seal? How would I drill a hole in the seal without drilling a hole through the case?

if your going to drill a small hole in it be real careful the case is right behind it but its about 3/16ths to a 1/4 behind it dont push hard you just want to go through the outer edge of the seal
