Spark, runs fine, the ohms come out right, new plug.
randomly has no spark, but ohms still come out right, and doesnt spark even with a new plug.
so now im :wondering
Unplugged the lead off the exciter and plugged it into the old analog, and clamped the other lead to the case. I pull teh recoil and you can cleary see the analog register up to 4v. Of course it wont start at this point. So it got me wondering, and it doesnt seem to say in the manual the voltage, just the ohms. Of course the manual says 150 ohms should make the trike run no problem.
What voltage should this be putting out?? How many volts is the cdi supposed to run on? Id imagine 6 volts. i mean every other ignition system out there uses a 6 volt powersource.
The pusle generator is just a hall effect ignition, is it not?? Big lobe of metal move by a magnet, and produces a milivolt impulse that triggers the cdi unit right??
I wonder how a series 37 car batter would fit on a honda...
