Ok, here's the problem...

When I first got the bike, it was having difficulty with upshifting after riding for a while. I took the assembly apart and filed the basket and put it back together. During the few short test rides I went on, everything seemed to be just right. All the disks are in great shape and I can't imagine that a few hours of riding would waste the basket again.

Anybody got any other ideas for things I should check? As long as I ping the revs between shifts, it will go fine, but anything less than 3/4 throttle and it just won't go. I'm 98% certain there is plenty of oil in the case, but I am going to check that before my next ride too. Could I have too MUCH oil? Maybe a thicker or thinner oil? Can simple cable tightness/looseness cause this?

Thanx in advance for any idea/suggestions...

Check the ratchet paws under the clutch basket. There are little springs that make them work. If one of the springs are bent or broke It won't shift right. There Is also a small collar the goes between the shifter shaft & the ratchet mechanizm, make sure that Is there & make sure the return spring Is ok.
