I have a Clark plastic fuel tank on my 86' Big Red.
I don't see where there was any gasket between the petcock and the tank. Just an O-ring. I this all that is needed for a seal.
Also, the bowl of the petcock has a tiny pinhole and I have put a dab of JB Weld in it. I have throughly cleaned the petcock and will let this dry for 15 hours or more. I have used JB Weld and it has always worked. I hope it is impervious to the fuel in the petcock.
I got the carb remounted. All I need is fuel and I am ready to fire her up. Oh wait, I forgot to put on the exhaust pipe.
