Perhaps someone can help me on this. I have a 1983 185s that I have been trying to get to run properly. It started right up this morning with no choke. Went to start an hour later and no good. Pulled the plug and it is wet with gas and a little black. I noticed some black sooty stuff on tailpipe so I thought I would pull the carb and check it out. Opened what is apparently some type of drain screw on bottom before I pulled it and gas ran out. Pulled it and pulled the bowl and gas ran out all over. So I think it is carrying to high a level.? I have gotten some paper work off of the archives at 3 WW that says the carb ID# for an '83 185s should be PD35D. Mine says PD85A then an A( with a box around it )then UD. Is this the proper carb? or has someone put another on it. I will leave it at that for now. Perhaps I will need some help on the adjustment if someone can tell me this is the carb that should be on the trike. Thanks.
