I have been reading about tires on some of these web sites.

I have some "Turf Busters" on the back of my Big Red and they seem pretty stiff and I like that. However, I remember most of these ATVs had two ply tires back in the day. I have one on the front like that and it is just too squishy.

I imagine the Turf Busters are 4 ply and I think a 6 ply would be too stiff.

I would like some input on what kind of tires you guys are running on the utility type ATVs like the Big Red.

I have 6 ply Kenda Bear Claws on the back of my YTM. They are stiff but you get used to them. They pull through damn near anything. If you have an 85+ Big Red, I wouldnt hesitate to put 6 plys on, the suspension should help soak up the bumps

Ive got a crappy 4 ply turfbuster on the front...Im looking for a replacement, Im not sure what to run up there. I need something with good traction for turning.

Something like a smaller Bear Claw type sounds good. However, I have been told on this forum that a knobby does about as good as anything on the front.
